Basilica de Bom Jesus A Comparatively less crowded beach of Goa, Majorda Beach is situated about 4 km from Margao, 5 km from the Colva Beach and nearly 18 km from Dabolim Airport. Majorda Beach boasts of a mythological background dated back to the Ramayana era. It is believed that Lord Rama visited this place once when he was a child and later during the quest of his wife Sita. This tranquil beach offers a quiet and calm ambience where people enjoy relaxing under beach umbrellas reading a book or reclining on pool chairs taking a nap. The lush green landscape adorned with coconut palms and paddy fields get you a classic holiday here. From the Majorda Beach one can start a hike that ends at Cape of Bogmalo. Majorda is just 37 kilometers from Panaji and buses or taxis are easily available to reach here. This is one of the beaches of Goa renowned for its rave parties. Other than that, tourists must visit Mae de Dues Church and Casa dos Piedade Costas, the two historical sites of Goa situated nearby.
